Wolfgang Hilbert is an internationally experienced refinery, petrochemical and fuel-storage expert. In his professional career, his first position was for more than 15 years with SHELL (as deputy production manager for the Wesseling refinery, member of the executive board of the Deutsche SHELL Chemie GmbH and as an internationally active project engineer in the leadership of the central office of SHELL in Den Haag, among other things). After working as the technical manager of the Deutsche Cargill, Wolfgang Hilbert was a member of the senior management of Petroplus for seven years. In this position, he was both the managing director of the German oil storage company as well as the CEO of Petroplus tank storage company in western Europe. After the sale of the German Petroplus storage tanks, Wolfgang Hilbert moved into the executive management of the aquirer (Tanquid). Finally, he became the senior advisor / member of the board of management at Petrotank, where he supported, in particular, the American shareholders of the company during international acquisitions projects in the downstream sector.
Wolfgang Hilbert studied chemistry at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universität in Frankfurt am Main and received his doctor’s degree (Dr. phil. nat.) there.
